An island on an island

Not sure how I feel about these little pedestrian islands creeping up all over the city.  I never see anyone using the chairs or tables they have there.  I also pass this one by Broadway and Columbus Circle at 10 in the morning but I’m sure by lunch time, they’re filled up. Now if they added those coin-operated BATHROOMS there, this would be another story…IMG_0516

  1. I only go into the city on occasion, and usually have a little time to kill. Last week, I sat in one of these chairs and read for half an hour. It was delightful.
