Lost and (probably never) found

I wonder what happens when people lose something on the train, how often they’re reunited with their belongings. Something gives me a feeling that it’s probably never.

I’ve left my phone on the train once and never saw that sucker again. And if you need to pick up or file a police report for it, NJTransit makes it so much more difficult than it should be! You’re better off taking the loss and forgetting about your item than actually having to go through the trouble.

Well, I’ll pray to St. Anthony that these gloves get reunited with the person that they belong to (or at least be found by one of the homeless persons that loiter in Penn Station!).
